Welcome, India Pungarcher

If you tuned into the news on April 22, you might have heard about a group of people rallying for humane and effective housing-first policies in front of the Supreme Court.

Among them was India Pungarcher, the Family Reconciliation Center’s new house manager. She believes that housing is a human right, and has spent many years working on behalf of the homeless.

She brings that compassion for people living through difficult times to FRC’s guest house. We look forward to sharing her empathy and enthusiasm with the friends and families of the incarcerated who stay at FRC.

India works for Open Table, the nonprofit that coordinates services for the homeless and advocates for policies affecting the homeless. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin and did a master’s in public health at Vanderbilt. She has also already been managing a group house.

We are delighted to have her. Welcome, India!
