It's springtime at the Guest House.
Winter has yielded and spring has arrived in full at Family Reconciliation Center's Guest House. There is joy, budding trees, and soft, fluffy pillows ready and waiting for each guest who crosses our threshold. Though the pandemic has quieted our community a bit over the last two years, still new families continue to find our safe haven and benefit from our services. Here are a few updates on what's been happening at the beloved FRC Guest House this season.
We have a new handicap-accessible entrance ramp for guests, thanks to Christ Church Cathedral!
A lot goes into making a house a home. At Family Reconciliation Center, not only is that ensuring the beds are ready for overnight guests, and that coffee is brewed each morning, but also that the infrastructure is safe and up-to-date.
Family Reconciliation Center has completed work on a replacement deck and handicap ramp in the back of the Guest House. Walking surfaces on previous decks and stoops were replaced with composite decking. Sub-carriages of the decks and stoops were repaired, and the ramp was replaced with one that meets residential standards. The work was made possible by a generous grant from Christ Church Cathedral and the skill and labor of board member Mike Hudson. We're looking forward to seeing guests on the improved deck in warmer months and as area prisons re-open to family visitation!

The Big Payback is a 24-hour online giving blitz hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. It's the perfect opportunity to show love and support for your favorite nonprofit organizations—like Family Reconciliation Center!
